MUFC Fundraiser 2017

Each year on Family Day and Presentation Day, we try to choose a charity to raise money for which has some connection to our Club as we are one big family.

What are we fundraising for?

This year we have decided to raise money for one of the Mum’s from the club who has MND.   She has 2 boys who play one in u9’s and one in u12’s.

Some of you may know her.  Her name is Lynn, but those of you who don’t may have seen her at the Club when she can make it, which is less often these days. Lynn is a very special person who has given a lot to others in her life and one of the nicest people you can ever meet – which makes it so frustrating that she is having to suffer from this terrible condition.  The money raised will enable Lynn to purchase an Eyemobile mini to help her communicate through use of her eyes.

The Eyemobile mini is a vital piece of technology for Lynn and her family so please help us to raise the funds for its purchase.

How you can help?

We kindly request that all adults donate $2 for their sausage sizzle on Family Day and all these proceeds will go towards this fundraiser. (Kids sausage sizzle is still FREE.) Any extra donations for this fundraiser are also welcome and very much appreciated.

Thank you for your support.

With Thanks,
MUFC Committee

Dear Coaches and Managers,

We need your team’s old Maroubra United FC shorts and outgrown football boots and shin pads and replica professional football shirts.

One of the many areas in the positive development of our Club is our approach to community giving and social responsibility. The Club is exploring a number of ways that it can give back to Australian children not as fortunate as our own.

In this regard we are delighted to be able announce the support of a registered children’s charity, Kit Bag For Kids. Kit Bag’s aim is to bring high quality, new and used sporting equipment to underprivileged Australian children via clubs, schools and community groups. We have already provided outdated stock of used uniforms that have been sent to NT in support of a community soccer programme at Borroloola. However, we are also looking to as many of our junior teams as possible to donate this past season’s kits and boots etc. to this very worthy cause.

As the season draws to a close we would be very grateful if Managers and Coaches could introduce this opportunity to Parents and Guardians and collect the kits (shorts and shirts) and boots from willing donors.

We have organised for a clearly marked donation bin to be available at the sheds on match days (this weekend) and on Family Day (26th August).

More about this project and the causes we are supporting can be found at and if you wish to speak with the charity directly you can email them at
Thank you for your support of this worthy cause.
